Further Information
Medicare rebates
Elizabeth Macmillan is endorsed to provide psychological services under Medicare Australia. This means that individuals can access affordable psychological care and can receive a Medicare rebate for services provided. The rebate from Medicare is between $89.65 and $131.65, depending on your consultation.
To access a Medicare rebate, you will need a referral from your GP. Simply make an appointment with your GP to discuss the nature of your request to see a psychologist and obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Your GP can then prepare a MHCP which will enable you access up to 10-Medicare subsidised sessions per calendar year. Generally, your GP will refer you for a course of 6-sessions under an initial referral, then an additional 4-sessions under a re-referral. If you have an eating disorder, or chronic disease, you may be eligible for more sessions in a calendar year under Medicare.

Private health insurance
If you are a member of a private health fund, you may be entitled to claim a rebate for psychological services. The level of rebate will depend on your level of cover. For more information, we recommend that you contact your private health fund directly.

NDIS and TAC
Elizabeth Macmillan Clinical Psychology is registered with NDIS and TAC as an accredited provider. This means that you can claim under NDIS and TAC if you have been approved for psychological services. Our practice will bill these providers directly so there is no added paperwork for you to complete.

Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please get in touch with us on (03) 9780 8514. A cancellation fee will apply with no less than 24 hours' notice for cancellations or non attendances as stated in our practice policy.
For Worksafe, TAC, VOCAT, and other third-party clients, you are responsible for paying for your cancellation fees, as third parties and insurers tend not to cover cancellation and no-show fees.
